Our March 2026 event has been cancelled.

The Designer Retreat was born out of a real desire to connect, share, and develop collectively as designers. Everyone I have spoken to believes in the need for an event like this. But sometimes the best plans don’t work out as we’d hoped.

While 24 attendees didn’t seem like a high number originally, we have been unable to reach this goal putting us in a tough spot with venue fees and event expenses. We have many people on a future waiting list, but the cost for this year’s event has proven to be prohibitive. Our intent was never to be prohibitive, but simply to create an event worthy of your time.

In light of this, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel. This isn’t the end of The Designer Retreat as an idea, but we will need to rethink our format, location, and offer to make an event as accessible as possible for more designers.

I believe that this is not an end, but simply a not now moment.
